Finalist for Patisse
Sydney cafe and bakery Patisse is strengthening its links to the Masterchef franchise by hiring a top 10 finalist from the show's last series.
Billy Law, who is also known for his food blog Table For Two, joins executive chef Vincent Gadan who has himself been a guest host on the Channel 10 show.
Billy will help create Patisse's signature desserts and savoury delights that draw inspiration from traditional French pastry.
The new chef draws much of his inspiration from his birthplace Malaysia; a place he describes as a "cultural and culinary melting pot".
“Creating desserts has always been a particular passion of mine. I lavished in the dessert challenges on MasterChef and my biggest desire is to one day open my own dessert bar," he says.
After watching Vincent in the kitchen for his dessert Master Class, Billy says he instantly knew that the Patisse kitchen was a place he could excel.
Before his debut on the show, which gives novice chefs a platform to go professional, Bill was an award winning photographer and digital interactive designer.
Owner of Patisse, Michelle Guberina, will be hosting ‘Billy Day’s’ dessert demonstration cooking classes with dates in the new year to celebrate the acquisition. |
