Australian- owned Gloria Jean’s Coffees has achieved a hat trick, winning for the third consecutive year the Western Sydney Exporter Award at the 2009 Premier’s NSW Export Awards.
The accolade follows the Excellence in International Franchising Award received by the company last month.
“Our recent award wins are a testament to our entire family of team members, franchise partners and supply partners who have made our international aspirations a reality,” said Nabi Saleh, executive chairman of Gloria Jean’s Coffees.
In the last 12 months the company has opened up ten new international markets alone, including India and China. Global sales have increased by more than 25 per cent and coffee house openings have grown 35 per cent encompassing 93 new openings.
The 2009 Premier’s NSW Export Awards is part of a national program run by the Australian Institute of Export, recognising excellence in the export of goods and services by NSW businesses, and acknowledging their contribution to the economy and the community.
