Sportsgirl’s superflagship Bourke St store has been commended in the prestigious UK Retail Interior Awards in an Australian first. 

Sportsgirl, Melbourne, Bourke St and JJ Fox, Dublin received a Highly Commended honour in the Best International Retail Interior category. Topshop's New York store was also a contender in the category.

The Barbie Store for Mattel in Shanghai won the category. The Barbie flagship store is dedicated to the iconic doll and houses the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of Barbie dolls and licensed Barbie products.

The Best International Retailer category drew the largest number of entries at the Awards, with judges were looking for outstanding design, coupled with commercial success.

Sportsgirl’s Bourke St store was acknowledged for its interior design excellence and innovation.

The Awards bring together hundreds of retail and store fitting professionals each year.

Other finalists in the category were Adidas, Paris; Fusion, Hong Kong; Gina, Dubai; Monki, Copenhagen; Oberpollinger, Munich; Topshop, New York and Woolworths, South Africa.
