Stage one of the $470 million Top Ryde City shopping centre development in Sydney will open on November 5. 

Woolworths and 120 other shops in stage one of the development will begin trading a day before the official opening on Friday, November 20.

Retailers opening this week include The Golden Banana, Big W, Dan Murphy’s, Dick Smith and JB Hi-Fi, Supre, Strandbags, ICE, Shoebox, The Athletes Foot, Bakers Delight, Choice Homewares, Crazy John’s, Angus & Coote, Michael Hill Jeweller, Spec Savers, Angus & Robertson, The Coffee Club and more.

The shops, including 17 food court outlets, are located below ground, with construction on stages two and three of the project to continue above.

Work will also continue on completing stage two of the development in early 2010 and the final stage three consisting of an outdoor restaurant precinct in spring 2010.

Once finished Top Ryde City will comprise 80,000sq m of retail space with about 290 shops, 12,000sq m of commercial office space and about 425 apartments.
