Sydney's MLC Centre will house a pop up fashion precinct over summer - The Grand Social.
Located on level seven, the pop-up will act as a marketplace for Australian and New Zealand fashion to support and encourage local designers.
The Grand Social will inlcude 60 premium Australian and NZ brands and will complement the MLC Centre’s existing premium retail mix including Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Belinda, Cartier, Ermenegildo Zegna and more.
The pop-up will see selected designers host a variety of styling events and designer appearances as well as curate fashion exhibitions, installations and activations.
The Grand Social officially launches on November 5, and will run through until late February. It will include both new and up-and-coming labels across womens and mens fashion and accessories. Among the designers to be featured at The Grand Social are Chronicles of Never, Bec & Bridge, LifewithBird, Josh Goot, Dion Lee, Alpha 60 and Ellery.
Nick Gower, co founder of The Grand Social, said it was he and partner Jean-Claude Abouchar's longest bricks and mortar pop up.
“The MLC Centre pop-up is an exciting opportunity to introduce The Grand Social and its designers to a broad audience, and to connect with customers in a unique way,” Gower said.
“In addition, the creative freedom and support offered by the MLC Centre will ensure that the coming weeks are a real festival of ideas, well beyond the ordinary shopping experience.”
