The first Godiva store in Australia has opened at Sydney International Airport, as part of the Terminal 1 redevelopment. The Belgian Chocolatier has partnered with travel retail company Lagardère Services to open the 65sqm boutique.
Godiva has a reputation as one of the leading luxury chocolatiers in the world. It is positioned alongside other premium brands in the prestigious Forum precinct of the international terminal.
The boutique offers a full range of travel retail products including exclusive Australian souvenir gift boxes, a chocolate counter and dipping station. Also available are hot and cold chocolate beverages made to order from a choice of white, dark or milk Godiva chocolate.
Scott Raisin, Lagardère Services Asia Pacific’s CEO said: ‘We have developed a strong relationship with Godiva. It started a few years ago when we became only the second importer of Godiva chocolates into Australia.
Godiva Chocolatier was founded 80 years ago in Belgium and has more than 450 boutiques and shops worldwide. Lagardère Services Asia Pacific operates more than 130 travel retail stores throughout Asia and the Pacific, within the book, press, convenience and specialty categories.
