Mobile phones retailer Crazy John's is to lay off up to 200 staff members early next year.
About 150 jobs will be relocated to India, where the company's parent, Vodafone Hutchinson Australia, operates a call centre in Mumbai.
The news comes as staff last Friday marked the second anniversary of founder John Ilhan's death, reports The Australian.
On the same day they farewelled one of Ilhan's long-time lieutenants, corporate sales manager George Midas.
As reported earlier, Crazy John's chief executive Brendan Fleiter plans to retire, to be replaced by chief financial officer Antony Sault.
