Groupon's Australian CEO, Tobias Teuber, will soon take on the role of International VP in a bid to grow the Groupon name further throughout Asia Pacific.

Teuber, who will also remain as CEO of Groupon ANZ, will now also be responsible for the leadership of nine Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries, and responsible for driving strategy in some of Groupon’s most promising markets worldwide.

Teuber will now alongside newly appointed Co-CEO Alistair Venn (previously VP Sales, Groupon ANZ).

“I’m extremely honoured to be taking on a leadership role for nine APAC countries and am thrilled to be driving the strategy behind some of Groupon’s most exciting markets," Teuber said.

"2013 is going to be a big year and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead."

“We work in pursuit of one goal: to help improve the experience for Groupon customers across the Asia-Pacific region,” he added.
