Vince Camuto is set to open his first Adelaide and third Australian store in Rundle Place.
Melinda Chan, brand manager for Vince Camuto, said the company's plan was always to roll out into other states once it was set up in Victoria.
"What lured us to Adelaide first was the retail expansion plans we were presented with. In addition to being the biggest retail development to happen in the city, the mix of international and national brands sat with where we wanted to position ourselves in the market place," Chan said.
According to Chan, there are plans to open more stores with the goal to have 10 stand alone stores Australia-wide in the next three years.
“We are thrilled to have a store the calibre of Vince Camuto make Rundle Place the site for his third retail store in Australia and know the opening will generate a lot of excitement among the shoe lovers of Adelaide” said Justin Dangerfield, centre manger, Rundle Place.
Vince Camuto was originally the co-founder of shoe empire Nine West in 1978. He departed Nine West when it was sold in 1999. Two years later, in 2001, Camuto founded the Camuto Group and in 2005 launched the Vince Camuto brand.
Rundle Place is a $385 million redevelopment of Adelaide city's former Harris Scarfe building, and will include a four-storey retail centre, anchored by Coles with a food court on the lower level; Harris Scarfe department store located on Level one and all of Level two and around 70 specialty retail tenancies, with the fashion offering to be located on ground level. |
