The brand new Morocco Mall is scheduled to open on December 5 in Casablanca, Morocco's largest city.

The new mall is seen to reflect the country's transition to a modern era of commercial retail business. About 600 brands including newcomers to Africa such as FNAC and Imax cinema, will be occupying space in the three level mall.

Morocco Mall will also accommodate French department store Galleries Lafayette which will provide 8000sqm multi-brand space for international retailers.

The mall will also house a luxury zone which will feature international luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi, Balenciaga and Dior. To provide shoppers with a "retailtainment" ambience, cafes, restaurants, multiplex cinemas are part of the complex.

The Morocco Mall which boats 70,000sqm of commercial space will also feature attractions such as a giant aquarium, a panoramic lift and a giant musical fountain.

The mall's interior and exterior contemporary designs are inspired by its background marine environment.

Once open, the mall will provide 5000 direct jobs and 21,000 indirect jobs.

Apparently, some 100,000 workers were involved in construction of the mall during the last four years.
