Aussie retail consultancy expands into Asia

Australian-based consultancy Impact Retailing has opened an office in the Philippines, which it says reflects growing demand for retail advice in the southeast Asian region.

Impact Retailing, whose founding director Stuart Bennie is a regular columnist with Inside Retail, has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The new Philippines office, to be headed by Darrell Wisbey and based in Manila, is the group's first official foray into Asia.

Wisbey has lived in Asia for over 10 years and has vast experience in retailing and consulting in several Asian countries as well as Australia.

"We welcome him as we expand into Asia,” said Bennie.

“We have uniquely combined a number of retail heavyweights, many with international experience, and thereby avoided the limitations in backup and breadth of knowledge and skill of one man bands."

Impact Retailing was is a division of Software Marketing Services Pty Ltd established over 20 years ago. It currently has eight retail specialists on board as well as an associate who specialises in strategy and change.

Areas of expertise include cross channel marketing, customer predictive behaviour, processes and systems and merchandise planning.
